Office Manager Needed!
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced office manager to join our small and expanding family business. You would manage all the daily administrative duties as well as help deal with customer enquiries. This varied role would cover everything from accounts administration using Sage, marketing and sales support, website updating and advertising, answering phone and email enquiries, PA assistance to Directors, social media updates, office equipment and internal systems management, IT systems management, staff pensions schedule and general employee records, stock management and administration for road registered vehicles, parts ordering, arrangement of collections and deliveries.
This role is ideal for someone who is self-motivated, confident, highly organised and has excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. You will be used to working in a small team and will have a problem-solving approach to work, always thinking outside the box on ways we can improve what we do. Attention to detail is essential as is the ability to manage and prioritise your own workload. You will need excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, Sage Accounts and social media.
You would be joining Bertie Green at an exciting stage of growth where you would have the opportunity to really put your mark on the processes and procedures needed to ensure the smooth running of the business. Working from our rural family farm and selling largely to private estates you would ideally have some knowledge of our industry and at the very least a passion and understanding of the countryside.
Salary would depend on experience and the hours worked. For the right candidate we are prepared to be flexible and would consider offering this role in a part time capacity. Office hours would be Monday to Friday (minimum 25 hours a week).
Interested? Please email your CV to email@example.com and tell us why you would love to be part of Bertie Green.

This week is “Grown in Britain Week” a national celebration of our woods and a bid to help raise awareness of how important it is to manage our woods and to use British timber; not just because of the environmental benefits but also for the social and economic ones. Did you know that the British forestry sector contributes more than £4.1bn to the GDP each year and employs more than 64,000 people, but we still import more than two thirds of the timber we need. Well managed woodlands provide a rich habitat for some of Britain’s rarest plant and animal species, but today, less than half our woodlands are being managed. Please support the British wood industry by checking your wood is “grown in Britain”. For those of you with woods to care for please check out our forestry section for the latest used chainsaws, chippers, splitters etc. by clicking on the following link: Forestry Equipment

We are really busy getting ready for the new season on the farm with new stock arriving daily. As a result we are updating the website almost every day so make sure you check back regularly. Don’t forget if you are after something you can’t find on the website please let us know and we may be able to source you what you are looking for. Just the other day someone called us asking for a specific tractor to work with a topper. We were able to source an ideal John Deere 3350 Tractor for them in no time at all.
What a great tractor!
